8545 and 8174

The UMR 8545 Paris Jourdan Sciences Economiques (PjSE) is a research lab located at 48, boulevard Jourdan 75014. The UMR 8174 Centre d'Economie de la Sorbonne (CES) is another research lab located at the Maison des Sciences Economiques, 106-112 Boulevard de l'Hôpital.

PjSE had 5 and has now 6 tutelles : the CNRS, the ENS, the ENPC, the INRA, the EHESS ; and now the Université Paris I. The CES has 2 tutelles : the CNRS and Paris I. This means that the former welcomes researchers that are employed by one of the 6 research and teaching institutions mentioned. Some of these institutions are (more or less) entirely research institutions (the CNRS and the INRA), while four others are schools or universities.

In September 2016, some researchers of the CES are joining PjSE, which is scheduled to move into its brand new building in January 2017. Along with these researchers, their PhD students are coming along.

While the PSE Foundation was until the unification an overarching institution over two distinct UMRs, one of the purpose of this delicate (1) institutional change is to align the "research arm" of the PSE with only 1 UMR.
